And what part of the OP the title of that posts has anything to do with the title of that thread???
This is a perfect example of my feedback being hidden as the title of that post has nothing to do with users being upset with the change at all
Yes. That link worked and is bookmarked.
However, the issue remains : if you tell people that Post History has all their posts and it doesn't, there is an appearance of dishonesty due to a "technical glitch". I understand bugs and working with badly implemented software systems. A good chunk of my career has been spent cleaning up other people's messes. However, that understanding only partially helps with my loss of trust in this situation because of the appearance of impropriety.
Thanks for the links and the explanations.
No feedback is being hidden, it's simply being merged into one thread on the same topic. This way other issues or people with other problems can also be helped. If it was hidden it would be deleted, but that's simply not how things work around here (luckily, or I wouldn't be here either).
I've raised the issue internally as just that, that this is not the right time for this glitch (is it ever?) - and doesn't help with cries of censorship.
PS The comment history button can also be found on the Activity page, right side.
Its Not the same topic
An announcement thread for your Changes
Is NOT a NEGATIVE FEEDBACK thread
Those two things don't go hand in hand...
If you were merging everything into a post that said
Negative Feedback or Even Feedback regarding New Library changes
Then I would believe you were moving stuff around for the purpose of being Effiecient mods
But because the title of the thread has nothing to do with angry feedback you are effectively hidding everyone's anger and wrath and Ire in a thread with a title that has nothing to do with what they are posting!
Exactly, this glitch is apparently creating a lot of mistrust, not just from me but from a lot of others from what I am seeing.
Maybe you should do a pinned post explaining that when posts are merged, they may disappear from your history for a while (or forever) and to use the comment history link instead? And reiterate it is NOT the censorship that it appears to be.
at least it explains that portion of it, but i recommend you do yourselves a favor and just leave it all be, let it be spammed out as this likely wont stop regardless. People like myself will likely just make another thread in this case as we dont personally want it merged at all to begin with.
then again if you gave us our old UI back this wouldn't be a issue to begin with anymore..
wow,
Okay if you are merging thats fine now hear me....
You need to rename that thread to Feedback regarding Library changes!
Understand?!?!?!?
If would fix alot of your problems!
Because right now it looks like you are hiding our feedback...
Be quick.
I'm sure you know that negative PR about censorship is very hard to overcome. The longer there is radio silence from moderators on the topic, the more people will think you all were forced to undelete posts due to enough claims of censorship and the technical glitch is a cover story.
I see your point about it changing when it was used as a central point, although I stand by my point that it doesn't really matter how something is changed - it's all about being able to post the feedback in a constructive manner, and keeping the forums useful afterall.
That said, I've changed the title. Let's hope people stop with the silly accusations of censoring now :)
