They are reasonably organised, but the page opens to the uncategorised list, about 300 games, not the collections. Do i really have to break the list into tiny collections to use them. That would be almost just as unuseable.
The Small Mode is part of the client. You just have no way of opening it directly right now. You can open it through your browser, it just calls the client. That's what the "steam://open/" part is for.
Not an option. I have a category of finished games, and i can hide them, I could also hide all uninstalled games, but that basically means i do not have a unified library anymore.
No, it just opens another view from the client. Just like Friends & Chat works.
I just tried it. I can see my library, but it completely disables the rest of the client, including the store, chat and forums, untill i restart. Better than nothing, i guess.
-1,000,000 Steam Library UI devs
I too experience ridiculous lag with this new millenial/i-gen centric user interface. What was wrong with the previous Library UI? Has no one at Steam ever heard of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"?!?
At least provide a way for "classic" view.. even Microsoft provided that for us oldsters. Not everyone needs or wants all the bells, whistles, and newfangled flashy innovations.
I'm glad it worked for someone:
On my old computer I unticked pretty much everything that I possibly could which I could imagine causing the dial-up graphic UI lag I'm experiencing with this new Library UI. Nothing has resolved this. This is a problem not of taste (I could care less how the UI looks) but of performance.
Click on new Library...loading images...click Community/elsewhere...click back to Library...lag with gfx artifacts...eventually loads after a few seconds.
