Please add a way to revert back to the old layout...

Not much can be said really, it's all in the tittle. Allow us the option to revert back to the old library UI, because the new one is super un-user friendly. It's like navigating the Xbox One UI, which is really clunky and slow.
Valve give us this option as I feel many people will agree with me.

I don't understand why companies this day in age still refuse to learn, no one enjoys options being taken away from them.

For myself, I'll be fine with it once they give back some of the options they took away.

I want the horrible what's new (Which is essentially just ads forced on me.) to be a shelf, so I can delete it if I don't want it, or move it down if I don't want it on top. I mostly hate it because it's forced on me and so long as it's being forced on me, I'll forever hate it and refuse to use it. Making it an option would have made me interested in it.

I want the slider back to change the size of the game images. I used grid view before and changed the size to my liking. Now I have to choose between, small, med or large, and none of those are the right size and it's messed my stuff up.

Lastly, I've noticed that when I restart Steam, it adds back the selves I delete because I don't want them. That's BS and I want that to stop, otherwise, what is the point of letting us delete shelves?

I'm pretty sure no one here would be upset if this new UI was a choice and not forced on them, and many more people would like the new UI if it hadn't removed so many of the options they used to have.

I'm just waiting for the new steam skins to become available/documented - then I will work on recreating the old mode so I don't have this 90% useless crap on the screen all the time. Assuming it will be possible...

The cfg in there disables that. Unless steam -forces- it like a console firmware, I doubt that would happen.

Mine gets forced, every time I boot. I don't know why, it's annoying.

Did you copy past everything while out of steam over the files in the folder?
this is how steam.cfg should look like

BootStrapperInhibitAll=enable
BootStrapperForceSelfUpdate=disable
