New Library - How To Sort By Disc?
So before, you could edit the look of the library a bit to find a page that allows you to sort by size-on-disc. Not only would it give you the size of the game, but also which disc it was installed on. All on one page.

Currently, the only way I can currently see to find what games are installed where are to manually click each and every game and hit 'properties - local files' and see what drive it's on.

Is there any way to see what games are install on which drives on a glance, or am I screwed?

EDIT: As of 1/5/2020, the way to sort by disc is to follow the answer below, while also being on the beta branch. If the letters come up for you outside of the beta branch, then it must have gone to live.

The ExiledAlchemist's instructions got me to the screenshot I linked.

Got to the library page and click on the filter drop list, and uncheck group by collection. Next to the filter is an icon that looks like a play button. Click it will show you all installed games.

On the left click on the ALL collection at the top of the game list. You will now see all installed games in collection view on the right.

The collection view on the right will allow you the ability to use the sort by drop down list. This will let you sort by disk size, and should also list what drive they are on.

At least there's a filter for looking by size, they removed the filter for Installed games?

I followed your directions, but unfortunately it seems there's no indication for which drive it's installed on.

Mousing over also does not give this information.

It's the icon that looks like a play button, or the triangle inside a circle icon. When you hover over it you get the tool tip "Show only ready to play games." That is what you click on to see installed games.

That is a shame. Looks like that is another feature that was ignored when requested on the beta forums. :lunar2019deadpanpig:

You're not hearing him. He wants to see which HDD/SDD it's installed to. Which is what I want as well and cannot find a solution to.

There is no solution at the moment other than digging through each games properties menu.

Thanks, it's more than I had time to work out and helpful for the sizes at least, even though the drives they're on has been missed. Really hope they add that soon.

I agree. I still want list view with sort-able, select-able columns with location\size information and less memory use but the latest update took care of nearly 40% of my objections to the new UI.

I could live with the rest once list view is reinstated and the "What's New" section was and option like the rest of the shelves.

Just want to add my voice to this discussion - I have a full drive that needs some games moving off it - what used to be a simple task is now a complete nightmare. To put this in context, I have 1500 games loaded across a number of drives, making it unfeasible to check each entry!

Just wanted to bump this. We want this function back!

I was trying to find the answer to this for a few days now. I just found this thread.
It looks like Valve eventually patched it in.

What? How?
That's so funky. I did the exact same thing and my library still looks the same.
