Was going to post one myself, but got distracted.

In the pinned megathread in Steam discussions, i guess we could've had an edit with answers to some of those common questions.

Maybe it could've been in the blog update or the beta forum, though.

It's funny people won't even look, or try the new UI, rather complain about it before even doing anything in one of the news discussion sadly, but give it like a month or so and blow over like always, just like in 2009, 2012, and etc...

It seems to be more of banter than ranting at this point.

In a few weeks from now, the influx of these threads will be cut by 90%.

What i find humourous, is when i ask some new Steam users that i know elsewhere; and what they think of the new Steam chat currently; they said that the old one looks so bland and outdated.

When the new chat was released, the whining went over the skies.

I'm inclined to think it's going to tread on that same path.

Exactly, it's pretty much getting silly at this point, and so far I lot of people I chat with are happy with the new UI due to being able to do so much more than they could before, or what they been asking for years to help make their job easier on them. What I think the new added update should just allow is the .gif because clearly it's supported, and all we have to do is rename the end to .png to add it in, so I don't see any point of them not doing it.

Its the same as with the new Chat UI, a few days -week of constant " omg Steam! give me back the old chat! We will leave Steam if we dont get what we want! "
And after that time basically nobody cares anymore and just uses the new UI.

The problem is that nobody even TRIES the new design for a few days and THEN starts complaining about things that could be better.
No, no, one look and its instantly "the worst thing ever!!!".
