What's a good cheap motherboard for the Xeon X5650 ?
I'm looking for a good cheap motherboard for an Intel Xeon X5650, it needs to support 16gb ddr3 ram, and a 1060 6gb, also heatsink suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Pick an LGA 1366 mobo and go to town?

Though good and cheap aren't going to be really achievable now that it's been out of production for what, almost a decade now?

Any 1366 mobo should work but remember it's all old tech at or past it's projected life so you're going to be gambling with functional equipment.

I'm not saying don't find one, just be aware that there's almost no new old stock at this point.

There are so many on Amazon brand new but there are even more used , I don't want to risk buying a used one , would this one work for the specs I listed above ?

Ok, if that isn't the correct link now then I honestly shouldn't be on the Internet xD

I would under no circumstances by that mobo. The seller puts themselves as the manufacturer and that is a massive red flag to stay far far away from them.

Which mobo would you suggest ? Also thank you for the help

there are no good cheap 1366 boards anymore

oem 1366 mobo may work, but will be locked down for overclocking or faster ram

and honestly a new i5 or ryzen 5 will be close to that old first gen i series xeon performance
even with 6 cores and ht
