Installing on new system with existing data drives
I am building a new system. On my old system, I have 3 non-OS SSDs with steam libraries on them. If I install Steam on the new system, and then attach the existing SSDs with the various steam library folders, will steam find those folders and recognize the games therein, or will I have to re-download each game on the new system?

Thanks in advance.

Put the steam folders in the old places, run steam.
Done.

When you say "old places", I assume then that those drives need to have the same drive letters on the new system that they have on the old? TY
Just that all folders are in the old place.
Best is to install steam not on os drive anyway.

I never installed steam again or had to create anything again

Thank you for your reply.
Uninstalling steam will remove all games and everything around the steam exe in the folder, whatever that folder is!

Just saying.
