Steam Key for a Game that is not Purchasable Anymore?
If I were to receive a steam key, say for NBA 2k16 (which is not on the steam store anymore), would I still be able to activate it and download the game?
Thanks in advance

Yes. (thinking of how I could expand this answer further, but that's really all there is to say)

Yes. Not only do I still play games that are no longer available through steam using steam, you can't just sell somebody something and then say, well sorry you can't have it. lol
