Steam wants to download hundreds of GB of my friends content even tho im not logged into him. Help?
My friend logged into my PC to play one of his games on my PC. Steam quickly started downloading his hundreds of GB of DLC, steam workshop content, etc.. we quickly switched back to my account. However, to my surprise, the content keeps downloading ON MY ACCOUNT!! I cannot cancel or pause or re-organize workshop content at all, and DLC re-adds itself if removed from the list. How can I cancel all of it?

Log out and delete his userdata folder.

I deleted all userdata folders. When I launched steam, it recreated mine and his! I'm assuming it automatically recreated his to finish the downloads

Have him log into his PC and deauthorize all devices.

Didn't work, still wanted to download all his workshop content, I'm not even on his account, it's downloading it on my account

If steam didn't have a high priority function, this wouldn't be a problem. Steam should not have the ability to force me to download something.

I solved the issue by reinstalling steam and re-downloading my 236GB of games. I hope steam adds the ability to at least postpone priority downloads in the future
