Would I be able to mod games to censor them?

I've heard of quite a few games that gaming aficionados tend to praise. Bioshock, Fallout and the like. But then I won't buy them because of the content. And some games I've already bought, particularly Half Life 2, have some language I'd like to censor if I can.

Overall, blood and gore is okay for me within reason. My main problem is with nudity and foul language.

And I thought "Wouldn't it be cool if someone already made a mod for the game I want that implements some optional censors? If not, what if I made it myself, then published it on Steam for anyone else with the same problem?"


I know enough C# to put together some things in Unity, but that's about it.

Is there any method, tool or tutorial that I could use to accomplish this, or would the software for all these games be too varied for there to be one universal solution, save being an experienced programmer?

How does Half Life 2 have anything worth censoring?

There is a total of ONE 'bad word', two if you count Alyx's single utterance.

Either look up if there mods to removing what you wanted, or ask in that community game forum, or 3rd party game mod forum for help.

Sort by least downloaded first.

Although I have heard other like minded people request the same things (silly sounding as it is to most of us) so there's bound to be mods and patches for what you're requesting.

The book tells us how humans were meant to be naked, and that the evil told them to eat a fruit.
From then on they did not feel well with nudity.
Someone was not pleased when that happened.
