Help make Xbox One Wireless Adapter Model 1790 (the smaller one) work for Windows 8.1
Hi, I purchased the Xbox One Wireless Controller v2 + Wireless Adapter v2 for Windows 10. The description said that it also works on windows 7/8/8.1. I haven't had any luck installing and finding drivers for it.

Help me make this work please.

Windows should load the right divers when you plug the adapter in the usb.

After that you need to pair the adapter and the controller. read the instructions.

No it does not find drivers. I have tried updating drivers and it does not find any supporting drivers
You did as the instructions described? Is loading missing drivers enabled in windows?

Then try to find drivers at microsoft.

Try another usb slot. When computer is running.

Also look for a manual load of the driver, on reputated sources

Hi, did you manage to find the solution to the problem? I have exactly the same situation and have already tried many different drivers and ways :<

Windows 8.1 here as well with all updates installed.

Similar issue here as HitmanHBN. This smaller version of the Xbox wireless adapter model 1790 with the pairing button on the end is supposed to work on Windows 7, along with 8.1 and 10. Couldn't get it to work on Windows 7, and it shows up in device manager under Other Devices as XBOX ACC. Hardware device ID is USB\VID_045E&PID_02FE&REV_0100
or USB\VID_045E&PID_02FE. Been googling for hours but no luck yet. None of the suggestions/comments from Muppet among Puppets is helpful or worked. Too broad, and this is a very specific issue.
