When you try getting a refund for something outside of that, it will simply be refused based on the amount of time since purchase, in this case. I'd suggest looking up how to lodge an actual MANUAL request, which I don't have the link to myself but hopefully someone else will bring that info to you. But if you put in an automatic request it'll get denied outright. Be prepared to list WHY this won't work for you, as just 'I don't want it any more' will be highly unlikely to be accepted.
Heaven forbid you read the actual policy on Steam's site.

The refund policy isn't absolute, there are exceptions. Although this creates problems, as users find out and then they assume any silly reason can get them a refund. Or they get upset when the policy is enforced as stated. So you should always assume it will be. And if you do get an exception, great.
If you try to refund it will be rejected automatically because it falls out of the refund window.
At which point, https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=4873-QOSK-5126#appeal
Or you can reply to the rejection using the option "I still have a question", or "I still have a question about this purchase" and explain the issue/situation.
