I sent a skin to my friend but he didn't get it!?
I recently sent a very expensive cs:go skin to my friends smurf account and after confirming it on mobile authenticator he said it hadn't gone through.

I went on to the account myself and sure enough there wasn't even a trade history of it being sent to him! Please help!

Is one offer canceled and other one accepted? If that's the case check the profile of the accepted trade, it might have not been your friends smurf account but somebody else impersonating him

Looks like your account is compromised.Usually by users entering login details on gambling/trade phishing sites giving a hijackers BOT access to your account. That BOT cancelled your trade to a friend and then sent another to their own account that the BOT made look like your friends. It happens in seconds so you won't notice it changes. You obviously missed the warning telling you the trade wasn't with a friend.

You may still be compromised so do the following.

Scan for Malware/virus https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/
Deauthorize all devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
Change your Account password on a secure device, mobile phone for example.
Generate new back up codes https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

Could have prevented it by properly checking the trade in the Steam Mobile Authenticator before confirming it. It told you that the target account is not on your friendlist and other warnings, which you ignored.
