?? you can't.
Just use common sense and delete it once a week.
Steam downloads cache could do with a delete as well.

Not sure I understand that my brain is a bit nerdy and I am imaging you want to watch history live?
Steam history is a hidden .dat file or some sort secret file not accessible by us as it's linked to the default browser we use.
If you're using Chrome open the bars on the right history. There is all the history for you to look at.
If we are on the same page here, I can say I use that a lot to delete unique pages I have accessed and deleted them immediately.
Banks sites especially.

Click the bars top right click on history and history again
