My beloved old G500 used to do it all the time when it was on it's way out :(
What mouse is it, btw.
Well, it is caused by the system registering doubleclicks, when you only intend to click once. Mouse would be the first suspect, but there are others too of course. Might be something about the port, the mouse is plugged into, your system settings for double-clicks may be too generous, or maybe you do click twice without being aware of it.
Bought the mouse a month ago.
Tested with other mice.
Icons on my desktop open when double clicked therefore if the issue was my mouse this would happen to my desktop icons as well.
I can, right now, click any title in my library and it will attempt to run. 100% of the time.
I can, right now, click any icon on my desktop, and it will NOT open (unless i double click)
This happens with my new mouse, this happens with my laptop trackpad, this happens with my trackpad's physical button, this happens with my OLD mouse.
Can confirm issue is 100000% steam only after troubleshooting. Started yesterday for me.
It's really annoying, when swapping between game titles or click on the wrong title initially, and then all of a sudden a game starts without you wanting it to.
i ran a double click mouse test @
https://doubleclicktest.com/
and my mouse seems to be working fine (no double click issues).
