Windows Defender Preventing Saving

It appears that a recent change either in Steam or in Microsoft Windows Defender for Windows 10 is creating a bug where it prevents steam games from saving to their correct folder. You can still modify those folders as long as you have access but the Windows Defender will prevent you from saving any new games or modifying any games.

I have spent a while trying to correct this but I have only found that you can fix this by opening windows defender security center and navigating to "Manage Controlled Folder access" under Virus and threat protection. Then adding the .exe file of the game to the folder.

I hope this gets fixed soon because I am pretty sure none of us wants to go through this process for every game.
