steamrep
Soo a friend recently sendt me a message about my account being marked as scammer/fraud even though i've only traded between my close friends that i know IRL or been friends for ages, So he sendt me a screenshot about him appealing for the.. accusation and there was a profile for a moderator that i could add and ask if there was any problems.

long story short, he wanted to send me a trade request to authenticate my account on the.. steam database.
I told him that i didn't receive any trade requests and he eventually asked me for my username and password, so i gave it to him due to i had nothing valuable in my inventory
and eventually, he asked me to send him 100 case keys for Team fortress 2

He kept inisting on a way to send him keys and that was stupidly fishy, so i changed all my information on my account

also, i couldn't see any... steam staff badge on his account, all he had was 15 years of service

It's a scam.
Report and block the user.
Never give anyone your account details.

Yes, con artists try these techniques all the time. I don’t see the relationship to “Steam rep.” Did that nonsense give you a false impression that an actor was trustworthy or an authority or something?

well the thing is, the only reason why it got my attention was because of a guy i used to play some games with pointed it out to me

Any further question, why your friends account started talking about the subject?

idk, he said that he was going through his friendlist and just happens to see mine being marked

its actually pretty funny about the whole situation considering that i don't do trades at all...

Okay, let's be a little more clear: This was not your friend, but the same person, who played the moderator. Using the account of your friend, that they had stolen previously. Because he gave away his login info. As seemingly did you.

nothing funny about it. one of the standard scam tactics used. if anyone ever asks for you account password, that is a clear indication of a scammer. the company (whatever company your are dealing with) never needs your password to access your account information, and giving your log in out is a violation of the terms you agreed to when creating the account.
yeah.. that makes somewhat sense, considering that i never talk whit him and he never talks whit me anyways
also had to do a little bit of research to understand the whole shenanigans
