번역 관련 문제 보고
- checking "Remember password" / unchecking "Don't save credentials on this pc";
- entering Offline Mode (Steam > Go Offline... > Enter Offline Mode);
- logging out and in again;
- going back to Online Mode (same path).
Now my credentials have finally been saved.
However, in my case I reviewed Steam logs and I noticed that for each login, logs would say "Invalid password" (explains why after multiple restarts I got locked off due to "Too many failed login attempts"). This gave me an idea to just... change my password, and it helped!
Truly a head scratching issue, especially since there is nothing different about my new password compared to the old one when it comes to special characters etc. I am guessing some credentials cache survived all my prior attempts and this finally put a stop to whatever was happening.
This works for me! I had this exact issue after installing a VPN. Thought it was something to do with the VPN even though I have enabled split tunneling. Tried all previous solution to no avail.
Uninstalled the VPNs and reinstalled Steam and did the registry trick and services trick as well to no avail. Changing password resolved the issue. Thank you for the solution!
Which logs were you checking here for this info?
It's in connection_log.txt. My issue came back since the time I wrote that post too, guess it's time for another password change.
Setting the Credential Manager to automatic in services worked for me, thank you!!!
