Redeem a key for an unreleased game
Hi folks, I need a bit of your help.

I recently redeem a key on Steam; however, the game is not yet released on Steam. So I got an error message when I redeem it the first time, the next time I tried it said the key was already used.

If the game is launched, would I automatically get the product in my library ?

What error message did you get?

It said the game could not be downloaded

Well, of course an unreleased game can not be downloaded.
And if the game appears in the list, everything worked fine.

How you think pre orders works, it's the same thing...

If the game not out yet, you can't download it yet, when it comes out, then you can download it.

It remains on your account, it doesn't go anywhere, unless the Dev revoke your key for some reason, which you get a yellow banner telling you about it.
