Going back to your concern, what Windows version of your device?

Windows10, should be fully updated

and xbox app v44.44.7002.00000

Thank you . Have you made any changes to your Windows before you had this problem?

No its default config and nothing has been changed

it has always showed my steam games that I have played in my xbox feed

Got it! Are you using the Game DVR of Windows 10?

not to my knowledge but if its enable by default then yes

Got it! I just consulting our Xbox Support to see what are the possible resolution that we can apply here because this is very uncommon concern since Steam and Xbox are different applications.

Yup that is why I was not happy about it collecting information on the games I had played elsewhere

do I just need to disable the game dvr?

yes I understand. I checked some forums that this is one of the possible resolution

I have it disabled now but other games are still showing in my recently played

Our Xbox support is currently checking if we have an update related to steam

thank you

You're welcome :) I already got an answer from our Xbox Support. They told me that they don't have any updates related to steam but they read some forums that the issue is on steam. They believe it's because of the steam sharing. And also there some instances that the information was also shared even in Origin not only in Xbox app.

So I need to bug Steam about my games showing up in the Xbox app? Ok. Thanks for your help, if you could ask the devs to give us the option in future though that would be great

In general , the problem is nothing to do with the Xbox but with the steps since this also happen on different game provider. Sure, I will note on your suggestion. I will make sure that your feedback will be forwarded.

Hope you found everything helpful :)

No resolution but thanks for your help with the issue

For this case, I recommend if you have to contact Steam support or you can post this concern from their community so they can reach this problem .

The only thing you can do to stop it from sharing that info is by disabling it.
