Steam Windows/Tabs don't show up in my taskbar
Whenever I open up multiple windows on Steam, those windows don't show up in the taskbar. It's really annoying because if I decide to minimize those windows I end up losing them. Is this a bug? How do I fix this?

I've been having this problem lately as well. You can switch back to it with Alt+Tab, since it's shown in the "recents list," and if you switch to another virtual desktop then switch back it/they will be on the taskbar, but new ones opened won't be until you switch back and forth again. So I'm not sure if it's something Valve did or MS did, but there's definitely something wrong.

Additionally, I notice that when I minimize these other windows, the animation of them being minimized doesn't show them going down to the taskbar, but down and over to the bottom of the second display, which doesn't have a taskbar. And when I switch back to them with Alt+Tab, they come back up from the bottom of the second display. It's very strange, and very annoying, indeed, but unfortunately it will probably never be fixed knowing Valve and its incompetent and uncaring developers.

Same here. When i open new tabs it wil just flash it like 0,05sec and then just dissapear from taskbar. And i can alt+tab them back up but they never will show on taskbar. It happens mostly when i try to open workshop stuffs and such. Its very annoying and fustrating to operate on steam now.

Just noticed another issue related to Steam's poor handling of W10's virtual desktops. If you have Steam open on one desktop and click on its icon on another, when it pulls you back to the desktop it's open on, Steam completely reloads, going to your default location you have it set to load on startup. This means if you start playback of trailers and leave them running in the background to come back and watch them later (something I have to do thanks to Steam's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ buffering), if you switch desktops then click the Steam icon, you lose all the buffering and have to do it again. Way to go, Valve.

After a System Restart the same issue Occurred and my Solution below turned out useless..

--- Original Post Below ---

I had the same issue and fixed it on my side.

I have Steam pinned on my Taskbar and only my "Main Instance of Steam" and the "Friends Instance" would respond and list in the Taskbar correctly.
As for Store items, they would be problematic like everyone mentions above.

All I did was:
- Have only the "Main Instance of Steam" running and open.
- Unpin it from Taskbar.
- Close the "Main Instance of Steam" (no need to log out).
- Go to "Start" find Steam and re-open it.
- Then repin to Taskbar.

Now my "Main Instance" + "Friends Instance" + "Extra Store Pages" all open and list in the Taskbar as it should.
