Buying games during Travel

Hi, I'm currently on a vacation and I'm in India right now, My region of residence is Saudi Arabia. I want to buy a game as there is a steam sale going on right now and I can only make payments in Indian currency in India, I know I'll have to change regions and make the payment but after my vacation is over (in 3 weeks time), can I change my region back to Saudi Arabia? I'm going to be receiving a gift from a friend that can only be redeemed in Saudi Arabia so I was wondering if there is a cooldown on switching regions. If I, for example buy PUBG here in India after changing my region to India and making my payment in Indian currency, can I, after 3 weeks, change my region back to Saudi Arabia to redeem the gift I'm going to get? Any help is appreciated

Just stay on the Saudi Arabian store country. Changing the store country is only recommended for long term moves, not vacation. There is a two month cooldown if i remember correctly.
Also, you'd need a payment method with a billing address in India to use the Indian steam store.

I have a payment method with a valid billing address in India, and there's a sale going on which ends before I come back so I want to pay here in India. And can you cite your sources for the 2 month cooldown, I'm assuming steam themselves have stated it? or are you saying this from experience? I can't pay with my Saudi Billing address here in India but I can pay with an Indian one.

Also, since my store region is set in Saudi Arabia, can I just redeem the gift now even though I'm in India, will steam somehow know my location and prevent me from redeeming the game? if not, I could just redeem the gift, change my region and buy the game with an Indian billing address and then wait 2 months before I can change the region back. Is there anything wrong with that?

Sure you can, simply by not changing your steam store country. Your Saudi Arabian payment method will still work.

Unfortunately my Saudi Payment method won't work, it requires an OTP , which is sent to a Sim and that sim doesn't work abroad. Anyways, just to verify

Will this method I stated work, Could I redeem the gift while in India, with my region set as Saudi Arabia? After I've redeemed the game, could i change my region and play it too?
