screenshot uploading issues with cloud (linux mint )

i have been trying to upload a screenshot but there seems to be an issue with the cloud and its failing to save or upload the screenshots into my steam can any one help

I've seen dozens of suggestions for this with everyone saying they don't work, except switching to the beta apparently used to. I switched solely to see if it'd fix being able to upload screenshots on my smelly Ubuntu, but no dice. Let me know if you or Support get it figured out!

I'm having the same issue with regular Debian, let me know if you find out if there's something that can be done.

FWIW I got a few screenshots uploaded, but it takes A LOT of retries. The latest upload took me 23 tries, and I had even less luck with others.

They just randomly (helpful code gnomes at Valve?) started all working yesterday. Try again, everyone?

It's still the same as the last time I posted; technically works, but takes multiple tries to work.

So I had my suspicions hearing people with connectivity problems in general, and looks like I have the source of the problem confirmed. It's the kernel update, connecting with Steam in general on kernel 4.19.37-5 is just awful and uploading screenshots worked perfectly with an older kernel. Either roll back to an older version, get a newer version yourself (I heard it's fixed in 4.19.55) or wait for the update to roll.

But my kernel is 4.9.0.9... hmm... and btw uploading images to Artwork section is working perfectly.

The one I tested was 4.9.0-8, maybe try that just in case.
