How to refund Physical Steam Gift cards

Hello the other day i bought some steam gift cards than I realised that I've gotten the wrong one and I wanted to know how to get a refund because the store that I went to get the gift card doesn't let me get a refund because I have to do it here at steam and I have no clue how to do that

Only the retailer can offer refunds for purchases made at their location.

If the store wont give you a refund then you are out of luck. Pretty much no stores give refunds for these to combat fraud. A user could buy a $50 Steam card and then take back a non-activated stolen $50 worthless card for instance. If the Store told you to get it from Steam, they were mistaken.

You refund from the point of purchase. For a gift card, your stuck with it most likely.

If you bought a gift card at a retail store, Steam can not issue a refund, because they don't have that money.

Usually gift cards are final purchases.
