Can I take steam screenshots with the actual screenshot button?
I've used the screenshot button for a LOT of games and I was wondering if I could just take a steam screenshot with the actual screenshot button 'cause it is nicer to just have my shots stored on steam rather then a discord server. I tried changing the screenshot shortcut but I just can't put it on the screenshot button.

Something went wrong while displaying this content. Refresh

I'm not sure why you're not using hte default F12? It not like pressing prt srn is more 'conveneint' on the keybaord so I''m not undertsanding why you want to use the system print screen key

Steam > Settings > INGAME

There is an option to change which key is used as the default screenshot bind, as well as a folder for your screenshot location.

Oooohhh okay... There must be a way of getting it to recognize the key, can you just type the key's official name (whether it's printscreen or prntscrn or something else I am so rusty at this)? or will that just lead to p being input lol it probably would. :/

Is the overlay enabled?
You need that to take ingame shots
Steam settings ingame>on the top enable the Steam overlay while ingame. Nothing else needed there.

Have you cheched the directory for screenshots is also listed in steam settings ingame. Screenbshot folder.

Your screenshots aren't saved anywhere other than your computer unless you manually upload them to Steam using the uploader. Where would discord come into this? O.o

Juanitta they're clearly ABLE to take them they apparently want to not be using the f12 default and instead use the Print Screen key like any outside program would use.

The thing with discord is that me and my friends use a storage server where we just print and paste it all there.

Right, well every single f12'd steam screenshot is in your hard drive under

/userdata/yournumber/760/remote/morenumbers.

There are some games that uses F12 to do some things so it would be better if I used that key, but thanks anyway I'll get another key.

Depending on your keyboard, maybe End or PgDwn?
