(closed) Any way to view old/archived profile pics? (I'm being stalked)

Closed. People never help others anymore, only give insults and unhelpful responses.

So one of my "friends" I guess you would call them, messaged me today saying "someone reverse searched you and found all your pictures". Obviously, knowing this wasn't true, I asked for proof. Somehow my friend's friend, has a collage of ALL my previous steam profile pictures (alot of them). Is it even possible to view somebody's old pictures? Because I sure can't find anything like that. But if the answer is no, how did this person get LOADS of my old pictures, when I have no idea who they even are and never added them? This person was also saying that I was friends with them on Steam but I know for a fact I never was. I believe this guy is stalking me and I honestly NEED to know how he got so many of my old pictures, because this can be very bad for me. I do not need an identity crisis in my life, I already have too much going on. All my reddit posts keep getting autoremoved, and people are only insulting me rather than helping me. Please can somebody help me out here? I need answers.

there are sites that track steam accounts, so there is a record of names and pics you have used. they can only see what you have made public, nothing more.

Why would anyone need to 'stalk' you when you literally put as much information about yourself right on your profile and allow it to remain public?

If you're worried about your identity, the very first and most important thing to do is *NOT* place all that information ANYWHERE in one place.

If your 'friend' has this 'other friend's' profile, go to that profile, REPORT IT, block and ignore it, and move on.

Ugh! I can't believe you put all of that personal information on your profile. Are you crazy? You should never do this, anywhere. You are asking for ID theft and more. Please be more protective of yourself.

That's something between your friend and it's friend. And has nothing to do with you. Just ignore them. Your pfp is public. Anyone can make a copy. Nobody cares.

We are talking about my entire history, of profile images. All the way back to 2015. There is no possible way this one random person was saving every picture from 2015 and then didn't bother surfacing until 2019. And it does involve me because he's going around spreading lies.

Can you direct me to some of these sites that do that? Because I can't find anything at all that stores previous images.

There are loads of automatic websites and storage devices, that make copies of new content that is being posted. It's not out of the ordinairy or anything. I'm pretty sure they made copies of me too.

But you want to know what people do with gossip? It goes through the proverbial shredder. As in: is being ignored. Nothing to worry about.

Don't go looking for something that might not even be there.
You seem so sure... tbh its smells of social engineering.

Who would even bother with this in the first place? most users would shrug and laugh that off.

See this is the issue I was getting on other forums too. Nothing but disrespect and unhelpful behavior. Why do you have to be so rude to me? You don't even know me. I'm having a problem if you don't want to hear about it, go away.

When you believe that something is disrespectful and yet that thing IS the answer to the issue at hand, you might want to step off your high horse just a moment and remember that we've been - apparently - doing this much, much longer than you.

You weren't even born when I started using the internet. At least, that's according to your profile which tells me you're '22'.

The problem is that you woefully underestimate the amount of web crawling that exists on the internet right now. It's not ONE person finding your 'personal' information and somehow uploading it to a site.

Those sites have code that does it FOR them. I've found my own writing works, saved as PDFs, on sites which I have never visited before or since: their entire job is collecting such things with or without (mostly without) permission and storing them.

Security of your information online starts and ends with YOU.

We're just reminding you of that. You don't have to like it, but I strongly suggest you pay attention to what we're telling you.
