Steam does not open things unless you set it to, so go through the settings found in Steam > Settings, and read everything carefully so that you don't wind up being deluged with things you don't need to see.
What exactly is ON these windows that you see opening?
Steam tries to open : www.error.com
I've run an AV scan : nothing. Stopping steam halts the issue. I'm a bit puzzled, I haven't installed anything new on Steam for weeks, same for my computer... :S
It's the same for me.
The problem did not occur for 2 days...
The url is http://error/
I have cganed in windows parameters the default application for http protocol, seting Chrome, and then it was chrome that opend multiple times.
Then i have set back to IE, and renamed the folder containing IE, so the steam client cannot find IE, and then no windows open.
But the steam client displays only white page in its interface.
I tried again to re-install it, nothing changed.
I don't know what to do... i cannot use steam anymore unless via a web browser.
Is there an official support by steam itself ?
i dont use mi account before 1 year and now when i do my email and password, it say me do your special key
it can be usefull. The problem seems to have disappear for 2 days... I don't understand why.
I'm waiting for next time ! ;)
