How to stop Windows 10 from updating GPU driver?
Does anyone know? It's really annoying, i install the latest nvidia driver and after some days it automatically installs an older one..i can find articles on this but from 3-4 years ago, now i can't find that setting because windows options and looks are quite different now..i even found a setting somewhere in group policy and found that setting like "let windows install drivers", i disabled it and it still does...

Reboot PC. Settings will always be applied.

Edit: You can find control panel by typing control panel in the search box and pressing enter.

Works for others: msconfig becomes system configuration.

Right click the Start button and select Control Panel.
Make your way to System and Security.
Click System.
Click Advanced system settings from the left sidebar.
Select the Hardware tab.
Press the Device Installation Settings button.
Choose No, and then press the Save Changes button

Yes I did sorry about that, I have 2 systems here one is W7 one is W10, and I just dropped that I know I shouldnt have..But I was helping elsewhere .

Checking the windows 10 yes you're right there is none on the windows 10 start logo when you right click it. Other than that the rest is correct.

Ok from the windows 10 I took a screenshot and moved it here to windows 7 and uploaded it as artwork for you,
Open your control panel then open System and security
Open > System it is under windows defender
then on the left is Advanced system Settings
click on that
open the hardware tab at the top

^^This^^

Once done Export your config to a location of your choice. Every time windows updates load Shutup10 again and it'll tell you if windows update has changed any of your settings and allow you to switch them all back in one click. MS and other companies like to have updates revert settings back to their defaults.

Thanks but i already found a solution, and i still wouldnt be able to work with your solution.
This is how the latest Windows 10 1903 looks, control panel doesnt exist in this version, its called just Settings, there is no System and security, its either system or update and security, very different..and hard to find those settings, if they still exist.

I know thew shutup was the fix you decided on but wanted to point out Control Panel still exists it's just MS likes to keep moving any icon used to access it. For further reference there are always multiple ways to access it. The way that works the same in every version is to search for it.
Windows Key + S > Start typing Control Panel > Click Control panel when it becomes an option.

Can repeat that process every time no matter Windows version. Personally I did it once and then right clicked it's icon on my Taskbar, while it's loaded, and pinned it there. Never search for it again :steamhappy:
