Age restriction nuisance
With all recent changes can we finally remove the freaking age verification when im logged in? Searching around i find 'solutions' that involve adding more browser extension crap, to handle something that should've been simple

On all other sites im in, from adult sites to gaming sites this doesn't happen- at most once, then its recorded, then it never asks me again. Heck on freaking social media i just had to answer once, and social media have far more kids then steam ever will- so this isn't about laws, otherwise every other site besides steam would be sued left and right.

Is there some new option to turn it off?
If not can someone at valve please, PLEASE give us said option? No need to change the annoying behaviour by default, just add one big red box in the settings for us to 'i accept any consequence of misuse of the account on my end etc etc' or whatever that we can tick for this to stop. By coincidence ive hitted like 4 of these in a row. Another day i don't forget what game\link i went through but the link even broke for some reason (the asking for age page leading to the frontpage, but after answering the page being findable just fine).

This is just ridiculous

PS: before anyone says 'already asked' or whatever i want to know if theres changes- and besides that i don't mind repeating a overly done request. If anything i feel there isn't enought of these topics

Please use the search. Seriously, my copy/pasta from the last 500 threads...

Age is set by cookies. If you have to enter the date again, you are deleting Steam's cookies.

(This is about all warnings like the one for the game hub you mentioned and age gates) Last stage check (View Page button) will never be set.

Been asked soooooo many times that Valve even made a Q&A for it...

Q: Why do you KEEP asking my damn age throughout the store?

A: We're with you on this. Unfortunately, many rating agencies have rules that stipulate that we cannot save your age for longer than a single browsing session. It's frustrating, but know we're filling out those age gates too.

But i don't get it- even on the app it happens. I don't recall ever cleaning the app cookies- and even if those are cleaned by other processes (like using ccleaners or windows clean tools) i see this happen all the time while i only use cleaning apps with months in between.

Also im not sure its by cookies- on the browsers i use, at least 2 of then, it happens on every browser close/open- while all other cookies work fine.

But oh well, still you answered it- so there has been no change, no setting, etc to avoid it. Steam explanation never made sense given how pretty much all other sites out there doesn't work this way (gaming ones included), so i hoped they had given up on enforcing things this way. But i guess im hoping too much from then. I had given up on expecting things from steam but with the new ui they finally delivered on few of the promises i was waiting for, so i had my hopes up.

Sounds nit-picking but those extra clicks are a lot more bothersome when im using steam link on the couch- either trying to handle the desktop view with a controller or in steam's big picture any extra click required gets in the way quickly. It pisses me off more because its such a minor thing and such a dumb explanation it feels like they don't care :P
