It is what it is pal. I got better things to do than lie to you about gettin my account back. In fact, the support team member that did restore it told me that the account had been compromised. And it makes sense seeing as I hadn't touched it in 5 years. And I don't like how you put the 'YOUR' in quotes. Stop pretending to be the "Steam sheriff" and get a real job man.
The guy was being helpful and did save me from spending another 20 bucks on a game I already own. That's called being human. You're just bummed to have been proven wrong. You ain't the "know it all" after all now are you? Also, the guy can definitely tell the difference between a genuine entity and a fraud. Kinda what his job is at Valve. And you insignificant personality sir certainly do not get to say who's a security risk to the company and who's not. Probably why he's the one working for the company and not you.
The guy didn't necessarily hand me the account. Just gave me the account name and a password reset. I had to verify the account myself with the associated Email. And I think I used my usual Email back then to create the said old account but somehow couldn't remember doing so. So when I didn't receive verification and confirmation Emails, I thought I created the old account with a different Email. And he did say the account was compromised so perhaps that could be the reason as to why I wasn't getting those Emails.
It all worked out in the end and that's all that matters. I don't care if you don't buy it. Again, I was just given the account name and I had to verify it my own damn self and set a new password. Perhaps I created the old account with my usual Email and just couldn't remember doing so. Cause after they gave me the account name, I started receiving all the verification and confirmation Emails on my usual Email. So maybe the douchebag that compromised my account changed the Email and hence caused the mess. And when I didn't receive any verification Emails, I thought I had used a different one and just don't remember it.
Also, I provided them with every possible element to prove ownership of the account. And the prove ownership article literally says you can recover an account with a CD key and some additional info if required. So I donno what it is you got a problem with.
You are happy, that's what counts. I'm just an old cynic who have seen enough on the net to not blindly belive everything I read.
What truth? I was being 100% transparent you jackass. Jeez, cut a guy some slack and try not to be a ♥♥♥♥ for once. Not everyone on here is a fraud. There's real people like me with real issues like this on here as well. I don't even know why I'm rationalizing to a dumb bum like you.

CDKeys are used to prove ownership...
and he'll probably delete all his posts again, disrupting the thread...
I, for one, am glad this issue has been resolved.
Exactly! Thank you so much bud. Apparently rockon here is having a hard time comprehending things. Thanks for linking the article. The giy is such a pain in the ass.
BTW. Thank you for your "personal" attack, it's appriciated.
