Always verifying integrity of game files
Hi
Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but i am constantly verifying the integrity of game files. Like literally constantly. Most of my games work fine, some I've have to reinstall and some are not currently working, but either way no matter how many times i verify the game files it doesn't do anything, i verify it, wait until "All files successfully validated" and then it doesn't change anything, i click on verify integrity of game files and it repeats the whole process over again!
This hasn't effected most if not all my games and they are still playable despite seemingly constant missing files. It's more annoying in that for when a game stops working there is little to nothing i can do to fix it as steam doesn't seem to be able to correctly validate the files.
Any advice?

Probably need more specific info here.

Any particular games that are affected regularly?
Running any mods in affected games?
Getting any useful error messages out of them?
Have you run a CHKDSK on the drive where they’re installed?

Just ran one today, CHKDSK f and r on the drive where steam and all my games are, the only thing that came up was that it replaced some files in Napoleon Total War, other than that it said everything was fine
It happens to literally all my games that I've tested it with (Below), some i haven't checked yet but i am convinced this will be the same situation for all games
Those i have checked:

Rising Storm 2 (has mods)
Total War Rome 2 (has mods)
Men of War Assault Squad 2 (Which i re-downloaded because it stopped working and still doesn't)
Napoleon Total War
Empire Total War (has mods)
Total War Shogun 2
Post Scriptum
Kingdom Come Deliverance
Age of Empires 3
Arma 3 (has mods)
Skyrim the Elder Scrolls (has mods)
Calll to Arms
War of Rights

It seems to be the same situation for every game i check, no error messages, nothing, it just says the files have been successfully validated then if validate again, same thing.

All of the checked games work fine and are playable, on the exception of MoWAS2,

Could be a wonky Steam installation. Could be not closing Steam properly when it's busy with the sync. Could also be an Anti-Virus that is a bit enthusiastic. Could also be a HDD that is on it's way out.
