Its usually just not done for free games.
But for example, the players of " The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit" which was a free to play "Life is Strange 2" prequel begged the publisher to make the game permanent for the library and games list and they did it.
So your best bet is to contact the game developer/publisher if he is willing to change that setting for the game.
Yeah
I could be wrong but as far as i understand it this is true
It won't show up as uninstalled in your library it will just disappear. But thats your library that you can see from your computer.
It will show up in the game list on your profile with time played etc (depending on your privacy settings)
Nothing that can be done so that the game sticks on my game list when uninstalled ?
Ya, buy the actual paid version, or DLC.

So....
From your first post - can your friends see the game on your profile and when they click on Games on your profile?
^ Because i think they should be able to see it like you want.
But in your library it will not show up when uninstalled, you need to go back to the store page to reinstall
Make sense?
However, I find a bit dommageable that the game does not appear in my library, because when I install steam on a new computer, or when I share my library with my family, it would be convenient that the game is present in my gamelist, so that then can click on in and choose "install game" like any other game I own. Thats the only regret, not a big deal though.
Yes, I will buy the DLC but not now, at a bit lower price I think.
That's not very coherent.
Incorrect.
That game is still in the "Learning" phase. That's why.
Games that are in the "Learning" phase...

And also games with "Profile Features Limited..."

"The developer/publisher can set a flag for the game on the store page so it remains in your library and games list even when you uninstall it."
Sure, I'm game, but I can't find that checkbox in the steam settings (on my partner.steamgames webpage that is). If anyone can find a more detailed tutorial or documentation on doing this, I'll gladly flip the switch.
