Blue Screen Of Death when i launch Steam - Windows 7

ok, so I get the BSOD when I launch steam on windows 7. I can install it fine, just when I launch it brings up the BSOD. I've checked my drivers and it says one isn't installed - base system doesn't have a driver. everything I've researched says check in with the manufacturer but I cant find anything online that will help me install the driver!!! laptop is an alienware m17 r1. I've been on the dell website, I've installed their support assist. I've done all the scans and what not in that support assist and I'm no closer to fixing this issue. what do I do?? :(

Steam has nothing to do with your hardware failing or your system not being properly installed.

Go back to where you bought it, have them properly install your OS and all the right software for the system, if you cannot find it online yourself.

Theres no driver for your base system and if your driver tool says it isn't installed, uninstall it. While we're at it, uninstall it anyway as its most likely a waste of space & time taking itself too seriously.

Then upload your crash dump for others, I.e. Me, to analyze.
