Any suggetions? Change or/and expand (dual channel) the RAM, maybe?

Moving to a SSD will make your system overall more responsive and might be the cheapest upgrade.

Dual channel RAM will not give you such a boost on the hardwar you sue. Frankly buying more DDR3 is waste of money.
