HELP!! Is it possible to transfer PS Vita save file of a game onto steam?
I bought Stardew Valley on the Ps Vita, not knowing at the time that there'd be no further updates to the game on the console's system. So I wanted to potentially transfer my hard earned hours of the game's saved file to steam's Stardew Valley and continue it on a platform where new content will be available for update.

I've managed to transfer my PS Vita's save file onto my pc and ended up with a folder with the name of PCSE01235. Looking into the folder, I notice that I have files called PSVIMG or PSVMD, and I'm worried about whether or not steam is compatible with it or if the file can even be converted into something playable with the platform's own Stardew Valley.

Would I have to convert that file into another type of file like .zip or something? If so, where could I even do that??

I'm not even sure how to even begin the transferring process of the saved file onto steam in the first place as well. If converted, where would I even place the files? Is there a specific order of steps in operation??

I've been scouring the internet for hours trying to find an answer to this but it seems there isn't any concrete information to a question this specific. Is there anybody out there who has knowledge as to whether or not transfer is even possible between the two platforms?? Many thanks in advance!

Here the thing, you need to find out what format the PC version save is in, then you need to figure out how to convert the PSP Vita save into the format to be read.

You could try to wing it, and hope they use the same format by renaming it the same as the safe file name in your PC version, first move the save to somewhere else, like make a new folder, call it old save, put your PC save into that folder, now place your ps Vita save where they need to be in the spot the save will be, and rename it as the save you had, launch game, and see what happens, if not able to load, then you need to figure out how to convert the save so the game can read it.

I suggest asking in the game forum, and see if anyone ever try doing what you wanted to do.

Another option would be to use cheat engine, cheat your self to where you left off, and set everything the same as your ps Vita save, then you can save, close game, and remove cheat engine, but that's up to you if you want to put but of work there.

I see where you're going. Thank you for your input Dr.Shadowds, I'll try looking more into that and seeing where it goes. I'll also try asking in the game forum as well, and if all else fails, consider the cheat engine since I'd like not to replay the whole thing a 3rd time.
