Slow downloads

So for the past few weeks I've been experiencing unusually slow download speeds in Steam (though not just this, UPlay, EGS, and Blizzard Battle Net are also affected to varying degrees, but oddly enough not EA Origin). I get 330 MBPS, which is reflected accurately whenever I do a speed test, but for some reason steam isn't downloading at 330 MBPS, it usually only gets 40-50 MBPS, maybe 90 or 100 at the most, which translates to download speeds between 2-9 MB/s, but the aforementioned EA Origin does get 330 MBPS, and downloads at a pretty consistent 40 MB/s because of it. Did something change in Steam recently to make it download slower? I've already gone through all the various tips, disabling firewall, setting a different download region, download speed cap, etc etc, none of it has worked.

Looks like a popular issue, there are a heck lot of threads saying that Steam's download speed is waaay slower than before. Some users can't even reach 1 Mbps.

Same here. My Steam Download dropped from 7MB/s to not even 1MB/s, Battle Net dropped to 1.5 and I can`t even download something from the Windows Store anymore. But downloads in Firefox or Chrome are not affected at all and still reach the same speed as usual.

Maybe it was some kind of windows update?

I think I've heard somewhere that the 1903 update causes issues with downloads, but since I don't use Windows anymore, I can't confirm that.

I heard if you chose only to update, sure. I went with a fresh install and things are fine.

I have to say.. while I usually get around 50MB/s ... the trend on Steam has been 7-10MB/s and sometimes even lower than that.

It's not too bad tbh, I ussually get 2.3 MB/s.
