I seen that there is a special offer to access Skyrim Online for 4 days free. I'm a big fan of Elder Scrolls Morrowind, Oblivion, and espeically Skyrim but never had opportunity to play Skyrim Online.

I had heard that Skyrim Online may not be as good as anticipated so i was delighted an opportunity to play the game for free arrived.

However the game is currently installing for the past 3 days!? i have wifi connection which all my other devices have no problem connecting with.

What is the problem? Will i get the same opportunity to access the game during this special offer?

Appreciate help.

1. It has nothing to do with Skyrim.

2. It is ~100GB, what are the speeds you pay for and what are you getting on Steam?

How do i answer those questions?

Broadband speed is 1.82 mbps download and 1.36 mbps upload - but this mostlikely due to the skyrim not downloading as its still downloading for past 3 days now.

What is the download speed you pay for?

Do a speed test.

What is the speed on the Steam download page?

i just seen that steam have a download page - 1.1 Mb/s Peak, 1.4 GB Total, 832.4 KB/s Disk Usage

So, you want to DL a ~100GB game @1.82mb/s.

Yeah... That'll take forever.

So theres no point in me downloading it? This wifi connection is the fastest there is here - whats yours?

excuse me but ive just found another post on this forum of players saying they have the same issue with various games they trying to download too - zero mbps etc? This is a current Steam issue?

1. At your speed, it would take ~45 days to download anyways.

2. They haven't done the proper thing and tried every download region yet.

ehh Hotsauce i just downloaded Star Trek Online Rise of Discovery. Do you know how long that took?.....2 minutes

I just did the math 135 hours to download a 100GB game at 1.8Mbps.

bearing in mind Manc - my speed only went that low due to the downloading of aforementioned Elder Scrolls Skyrim-ee-onnay. i cancelled download though....my new speed is now at.....
