Easy Anti Cheat .. can't change priotity
I found out that because of this new easy anti cheat. I am unable to use change prioity in task manager to help the lagging part in my game(s).

I found out that Easy Anti Cheat is the probelm because in one of my games I decided to change the file name of my (main) game file.

After I did that I decided to do an old fasion delete for this Easy Anti Cheat file.

After that, i tried launching game but steam says I can not launch it because it does not have all of the files required to launch. And so I decided to go offline in the steam application and launch it again.

My game ran just as fine.

So then I decided to turn my wifi back on and started to play normaly.

But, there is this online multiplayer part of the game and when I try to start up that part of the game, i would get an error saying I have missing files. I decided to look further into this issue, and i found out that it was steam all along.

I looked up into many ways to either deactivate Easy Cheat or just delete it. Sadly though, the problem still accurs and I am unable to change the prioity of my games.

I have to change the prioity of my games in order to stop the lagging part. Actually so much lagg that it is almost unplayable. And if I do not change the prioity of my games, my laptop would die the old fasion way. It would get SOO hot, that you cant touch (the area where the cord goes in to charge) it without literally burning your finger. LITERALLY, the burns hurt for a couple days after.

Please help, does anyone know how to fix?? Does anyone know how to transfer all of the games that I have bought off of steam and buy them out of steam? Is there a way to play those games out of steam for free, even if they are paid for? Is there ANY way why steam would do this? I like steam but, since this Easy Anti Cheat system, I really don't like steam. I need to change the prioity of all my games, and only have 1 thing open at a time.

Now before you start saying how my PC is ♥♥♥♥ and just get a better one and/or upgrade it. I am currently on a MacBook Air and these babies can ride for miles. I transfer back and forth between games and school work. I am a college student after all.

.... What game?

because EAC is absolutely required for a good number of online games. Deleting it isn't going to 'help' you at all, because it'll mean you are not going to even be able to PLAY.

If you're on a new PC, install all your proper drivers. Macbook air is not a gaming pc, lol. It's a mac, and they're *not* gaming devices no matter how many times frothing fans declare it.

Given the rest of what you've said, you have a crappy mac laptop that cannot possibly keep up with the needs of the games you want to play on it. Whether it's a nice mac ... well, whatever? But it's overheating and not able to run EAC properly, so... not a gaming machine. Play on a PC.

Fatal Bullet, and Halo Wars. This problem never existed a week ago. and changing prioity does change the overheating problem.

If they played before, and now they do not, it's highly likely that your operating system updated, or your internet service did something else. Steam and the games didn't change.

Uninstall is a part of the EasyAntiCheat, try that.
Here you can read about EAC.

Of course, if there is no lobbys/servers where you can play without EAC then the game will refuse to load the multiplayer. There is a really good reason for EAC (or any other anticheat) to be active when you play multiplayer games.

No, you can not move your games and make them not need Steam or EAC and for the record, Valve is not to blame when a developer choose to use EAC in their games, the developer is free to decide what kind of anticheat they want to use.

Only way to get DRMFree games is GOG, have you looked if they are selling said games.

Thank you, I guess now all I can do is play other games that do not involve EAC.
It is very sad, because most of the games I play do involve this. And it is more sad that more of my games now use it as well.
