Even a better solution: don't buy a crappy PC/laptop with integrated graphics.
Buy a proper gaming desktop.

Maybe people don't have the money but still want a good time.

Buying low powered hardware is actually throwing out money the window if you want good details and FPS.
And you don't need a i7 and 1080 Ti to play modern games. A properly built budget machine will not cost that much yet it will whoop the butt of any laptop.

They should get a console at that point.

Works great for integrated graphics!
Changing settings won't make the slightest difference if the PC itself is just too weak for gaming to start with.

I have a hard time believing you gain 15 fps, unless your laptop was throttling to save battery life, as that what they will do.

Your whole "solution" its just forcing your integrated card to use max power. Its not magic, its just overriding power management, cause laptops are usually aimed to save battery life over performance.

But all you are basically saying is that if you change the settings it will magically make the PC into a gaming rig.

Your solution is only to laptops that are using IGPU's, and aim to saving battery life over performance. Trying to do that for desktops, or Laptops that has a dedicated GPU, you will not see that kind of boost ever.

Seems OP doesn't had demanding games to see how weak his integrated card actually is.
Would like to see how it would fare with Prey or Doom 2016.
