The video requires a license to play which cannot be retrieved.
I have gone so far has shutting down my system but no good. This occurs all ALL my videos. I purchased these videos in good faith. I have watch a few episodes. Incase it was a problem with at your end I have waited a day. Still happening.

Mind telling me what I should do? :ira:

I am receiving an error about failing to retrieve a required license, what do I do?

For DRM encrypted videos, Steam must be able to allocate a license to begin playback. If you receive an error message indicating a license could not be retrieved, please restart Steam and attempt to watch the video again.

I HAVE done the above with NO! joy. This is the only thing I could trace down in Steam Support.

Try Settings > Web Browser > Delete Web Browser Cache and Cookies.

I have the same problem even tried tweeting the problem to steam soical page no one seems to have an answer.

It's a current issue that is server-wide. They're trying to fix it.

I just rented saw 4, I get the message and no matter what I do it keeps failing to launch. Has this been fixed yet? The worst part is steam offers no help and no refund so fml.

It is an error that comes and goes as they are doing work for the upcoming video app.

Since you rented it, you may want to contact support.

I tried but Steam doesnt wont help anysthing not steam, and since its a lionsgate film... and wont do refunds for the same reason
