Purchasing games on my steam account is locked
Purchasing games on my steam account is locked due to a dispute with my credit card company for 4 weeks. Can circumnavigate this by buying keys and activating them? I don't really want to spend the time submitting a ticket and spending time on the phone with my credit card company so if I can just buy games elsewhere and activate them that would be ideal.

Contact your card company, reverse the chargeback and contact Steam support.

Only they can assist you.

No. You can not add anything. That is part of the lock. It told you that in the account alert.

Do nothing and it will be a permanent lock.

Ok thanks, I will need to sort that out then. I wasn't sure if it was just restricting me from buying games in the store or activating keys all together.

Wait, so you're saying if I did nothing that after those 4 weeks I would have got my account permanently locked. It says "This account will be restricted for 4 weeks". That is scary if it would have been permanent

Trying to resove the issue = Support will help you

support isnt doing ♥♥♥♥ though, my account got locked for a chargeback and I immediately resolved the issue on my end using the Transaction ID they gave me. The money was taken out of my account within a day and they pretty much just told me that that's too bad

You necro'd a 3 year old thread instead of creating a new one and that isn't remotely what happened despite how much you try to skew it that way.

My account got locked due to a chargeback on a visa gift card that I used to buy games. No clue how the ♥♥♥♥ that happened.
