Noticed Canada Calgary Download at half speed compared to other close by...

I have a few friends all over the city with 300mbps internet and we all got a steady ~41mb/sec forever when downloading from steam. We have all noticed that it went down to max 25mb/sec and just recently i finally decided to try other servers around us like Edmonton and Vancouver which get us all much better download speeds (30-41mb/sec).

Is the Calgary server going through maintenance or something? I have never experienced this before. What would cause this cap so to speak?

Not the biggest deal... just wondering is all.

Yup, me too. I have to download from Japan or South Korea to get anything over 18MB/sec. Calgary or Edmonton will just not do it anymore. I can't seem to get the 41MB/sec which our Shaw 300mbit connection should be getting us, but at least I can get around 35MB/sec from those two countries. Finland seems to be good as well.

hi there , 4 years later, this fixed my issue. all these years and the south korea server just fixed my steam downloads. i am now getting over 100mb/s
