cant play games while laptop unplugged
I have an msi gt72s 6qe dominator pro g. whenever I play games on steam, It is always plugged in. but whenever I try to play a game without it being plugged in, The whole laptop shuts down. if someone could please help and give me a solution that'd be awesome, thanks.

Your laptop's "power settings" need to be changed. It probably means that there's nowhere near enough juice in the batteries to run a video card, and thus anything that requires one is going to overpower it considerably.

Keep it plugged in, first. This is a FEATURE, not a bug, of the operating system and device management on it.

to put in simply:

in order to run games, CPU and GPU, needs to work harder and require lots of power. Battery only, obviously, wont be enough. you have to keep it plugged in. your laptop shutting down is a feature to prevent your battery to be burnt out.

solution: keep it plugged in
