Does anyone here use Visa Revolut and has problems with steam purchases?
I've been using Visa revolut for a while now and it was working just fine the last purchase i did was on sep 25 2019, but some time after that and 1 oct 2019 it started giving me an error when trying to do any money transaction on steam.
The card has enough money and it still works on other site (had to purchase through direct warframe site)
Steam support says my payment somehow now is not for my region, Though the card is used for ( European Economic Area (EEA), Australia, Canada, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United States). Also check with my brother card and steam account the same thing.
Was there some kind of policy change or something ?
P.S. billing address and steam regions is the one I live in and log in from (no VPN or anything), and been using it for many years

Steam this is just crazy. Please grow up, people are more free to choose services from different providers including financial entities. If you do not adapt people will choose something else. How can you refuse money?

they're fighting fraud supposedly. you can link paypal or smth to your local bank account and it should be fine. but yea, i believe revolut to be safest and easiest way for money transfer, so
from that perspective steam did 1 step forward and 2 steps back

Have same issue now. With Curve card.Payment withdrwand..but didnt reach the Steam.so game not purchased,bu money stucked somewhere in air...and my bank say they can not refund.
It's time to pay ZeniMax directly instead of using Steam middleware
I have a revolut account as my main banking service and today steam stopped accepting payment with my card to. I have used this card many times on steam even a few days ago without issue. It is registered in my country of residence and I am using the steam store for my country to.

I have made the developer of the game I was trying to buy aware that steam is refusing to process the payment and I would suggest others do the same.

If the developers are left unaware steam wont be pressured into fixing this issue.
I have the same issue, none of my revolut cards work with steam anymore, regardless of type(visa/mastercard). It's quite frustrating to go through so much hassle to be able to spend money on a platform.
Yeah... stupid Steam policy :(.
I pay with my VISA card, because revolut fails (steam is the ONLY online store when revolut doesn';t work) and the paypal conversion fees are robbery, so paypal is out of the question!
Revolut introduced a Virtual MasterCard instead of Visa and it seems to work fine for me on steam.

The problem, at least from what I understand is that the country of the revolut is different from the user country.

The thing is Revolut has bases in a lot of different countries, but even then steam assigned to the main office country only. I had the same issue that my country didn't match. But when I swapped to their Virtual MasterCard it started working fine (so far ateast)
