HELP! Task Scheduler WILL NOT close Steam :(
I use Windows 10 Task Scheduler to run several programs and game launchers late at night so they download and update while I'm sleeping. The Task Scheduler is set to close those programs before I wake up at 6AM. STEAM DOES NOT CLOSE.

For those familiar with the Task Scheduler settings; I've already selected the option to close Steam after (X) amount of hours. I've also selected to force it to close if it fails to close when requested. Yet, Steam keeps running. Every morning I wake up and Steam is still in the system tray. The Blizzard launcher will not close either.

Do any of you know how to close Steam via the Task Scheduler?

Did you tell it to close: "Steam Client Bootstrapper" or: "Steam Client Service"?

Anyway, for Steam you can simply restrict the auto-update hours in settings (Steam -> Settings -> Downloads -> Download Restrictions -> Only auto-update games between"), and it will only try to download between those hours.
I think I figured it out. When making a task you have two tabs that offer to close the programe after (X) amount of hours. The first tab with this feature is the 'Trigger' tab. The other tab with that feature is the 'Settings' tab. I had only set the 'Settings' tab to close Steam after (X) hours. Now that both tabs are set to close the program after (X) amount of hours Steam has been closing everytime. Blizzard too. Thanks guys.
