Different version of games/ Cant join online

I cant join any online games because it says i have a different version. I have checked all my games are up to date and ive uninstalled steam and the games. It still doesnt work. My friends and i have checked we have the same client in game and direct invites wont work either. Plz Help!

Any online game for example: Gmod,stellaris,rust

genreally that again means you're both either on different versions or hav incompatible mods installed

But my friends can join each other, but i cant join them and we have the same mods i dont know what to do except but another computer

For starters, do you have some regionally restricted special variant of the game? I've seen that happening with Saints Row. Second, do you have any betas active or do your friends?

I dont think so. I use to be able to join them and all the sudden i tried to play with them and that "Different version" thing popped up and i havent been able to play with them or any online game and it happend a month after all my games said they werent installed even thou they were (Not sure if that has anything to do with it?

The Steam server browser doesn't have such a checkbox, henceforth you gotta talk about a specific game and this game has a specific feature. You gotta ask on the game forum.

diffrent load order of mods. this has been notice by other user can cause diffrent version, i think it was in tw shugun2 someone figure this out.
