Can I play a game after I've sent a refund request for a DLC on a game

I just bought a DLC to unlock all the characters in Brawlhalla. I have requested a refund as i discovered I would get bored having all the characters. But I was wondering if I can still play the game while the request is going through and if the hours I spend on the game will effect the refund request.

Don't play the game until you receive an answer. Of course the hours are going to effect it.
