Uninstalled GTA 5 but 60 GB disk space still taken
I have been having problems with GTA 5, at first the game was saying my OS isnt compatible, so i reinstalled it. It started working, but i couldnt go online because it said that it is a modded version of the game. The best way to fix this is to reinstall the game, making sure to delete everything in the game files so it is a fresh, clean installation of the game. But i ran into some other problems.

I have little to no space on my hard dive (like 1 GB left), but after uninstalling the game it would free 91 GB, which is what happened after the first time reinstalling. But the 2nd time I uninstalled the game (which i did now), i have only 30 GB left. What??? Where is my 60 GB?? The game is 90 GB big and its completely uninstalled from my system, why is there 60 GB used on my system when i uninstalled the game?

I restarted my computer a few times, but that did nothing. The game is completely gone from the game directory in steam. How do i free the space? Im guessing it can have something to do with Disk Allocation, how do i reset that on steam/refresh it?

Wow, thanks. I fixed the problem. I was trying to fix modding and accidentally extracted files into the GTA 5 folder, and then i selected a lot of them to put them back into the folder they came from, not realizing i got a few GTA 5 Files that were worth 35 GB. I deleted them and now i have 75 GB worth of space back, not quite the amount GTA 5 would have given back by uninstalling, but its fine. Thank you
