Dualshock 4(PS4) support on pc
Hey there!
I'm trying to connect my ps4 controller with my pc, but neither micro usb work, nor bt. On micro usb, it says windows cannot recognize the device(on 2.0 and 3.0 ports both) and bluetooth just refuses to connect(there's some problem with my windows activation, and that prevents it from using bt freely). Please help me connect my controller
P.S. I'm already using DS4Windows but nothing happens
Any help would be appreciated :)

You need to install extra software

Steam > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings > [X] Playstation Support

Or DS4Windows and leave Playstation support disabled.

With Bluetooth you need to make sure to pair the device to the bluetooth.

For me it was holding down the PS and Share button for 3 seconds and then release.

Or just use the support through Steam but it will only really work on Steam. As other clients rarely support gamepads other than 360 gamepad.

I plugged in my PS4 controller via USB (with the USB - Micro USB cable I have from Logitech for my wireless mouse), pressed the PS button, Steam then opened Big Picture by itself and it connected (but only worked in Steam). I've then enabled Playstation support in the Big Picture settings and it worked also in games.

I haven't installed extra software, it's certainly not necessary.

Also note that not all USB cables transfer data. Some cables also exist just to charge power, nothing else. So make sure you try several cables to rule out a connection problem.
