It's considered pirated when the license is obtained through an unauthorized reseller or when an emulator/activator is used.
What people mean when they say "pirated Windows" usually, is that the Windows has had some kind of System licence agreement or OEM key illegally activated on the machine so Windows appears activated even though they never paid.
If you don't get any expiration date within the dialog box that opens, then you have a genuine copy of Windows.
If you purchased or got a license key, where did you get it? If you bought a factory new computer, chances are it came with an OEM key and is 100% genuine.
